A December Wedding

One of my target this year is to have a wedding by the end of December. Haha~ Bluff. By then lets try to read these sweet love story between Layla & Seth (not that Seth from Nora Elena!) 

Layla was invited to her ex-fiance wedding with her cousin as the bride. As the date is due, her partner for the wedding suddenly cancelled last minute because of flu. She couldn't go alone! People would assume she's not moving on. But she could escape as it is considered as family wedding.

Seth Murphy had a crush with Layla since their involvement in community theater play . He offer his substitution as Layla's partner to the wedding. As Jack best friend, he did have a small part in her broken relationship (unintentional) by sending Jack to Jennifer aid's when her car broke down one day. After all, showing up at her ex-fiance's wedding with Murphy was infinitely better than showing up alone. 

Jennifer on the other hand was pure evil queen with black heart .She doesn't even feel remorse stealing Layla's fiance. She provoke Layla's partnering with Seth at the wedding, as Layla was not Seth's taste. Feeling protective Seth backs up Layla by saying they were in relationship. A lie after a lie and they were engaged and will marry by Christmas. Their engagement became the talk of the town. Which brings Stanley attention to Layla career development. It takes months for Layla to get Stanley to hear her business proposal.  Out of sudden Stanley called her to have a lunch with her 'fiance'.

Hence, the engagement was postpone until Layla gains Stanley's trust. One thing let to another, they were both reconstructing their relationship from friend-foe-fake fiance to something more meaningful.

A nice novella to read after reading many thick novels. Looking forward to read her story about Layla's brother next.
